The purpose of HSU is to fill the need for a support network for home educating families, providing information to promote, protect, and improve home education in our community.  However, by Indiana state law, the parents are solely responsible for the education of their children.  From its inception, HSU has followed traditional Judeo-Christian values.  Many of our activities will reflect that bias, and those in leadership positions will seek to preserve the integrity of that foundation.  Participation is open to families of varying backgrounds, faiths, and races.
